I always liked Fred and his older brother. I still remember the first-time seeing Fred just EXPLODE out a down position and hit a blocking bag… a small group of us just looked at each and said WHOOOA. There was no one quicker than Fred!
Thank you, Fred, for our daughter, Casey, and the twins, our grandkids Chase and Olivia. Couldn't have done it without you. You will be on our minds at our 50 year Shindig. RIP, Fred.
In high school we would not hesitate to use words to describe Freddy like.....wild, crazy, spontaineous, a real dare devil.... I mean he was always on the edge, and when he got pumped up those beautiful blue eyes would bulge out of his head. He was always up for anything, anytime. His 57 Chevy, with Fred behind the wheel, was always a top contender to win the "El Gordo Gran Prix" race from dinner to the high school before our football games, and he could get you to Newoprt Beach in less than 45 Minutes! Wrekless abondon!
However..... at his 60th birthday he was described by friends and family in attendance as being caring, giving, loving and loyal. A complete turn around from the Fred we grew up with. It is as if he came full circle in life. He loved nothing more than being with his children Kacy, Logan & Karleen, and with his grandchildren. Thank you Jody & Cindy for keeping Fred on a good path. I was lucky to call him a friend and teammate.

Fred was a great athlete. Where most of us linemen couldn't get out of first gear he would be in third and still accelerating.
