Michael Morgan

32 years at LADWP. Retired at 60. I do some freelance photography for various car magazines(not many of them left) Try to get to Hawaii a few times a year; usually Kauai, but occasionally Oahu when the surf is big. I mostly shoot drag racing and travel stuff. Was fortunate enough to cover the Mooneyes Car Show in Yokohama, Japan in 2016 and again in 2018-both times paid for by Hot Rod Magazine. We have 4 dune buggies in the family that everyone enjoys. I still race my 69 Nova once in a while. I have a 64 Chevelle wagon project that should be finished someday. Also a 63 Hillman wagon that will be a street/strip car someday. Always been a car guy, but it gets harder to crawl around under them these days!

After I left T.C., I took a few photo classes at PCC. Attended a blueprint reading/construction program that never turned into anything worthwhile. One day at T.C Library I found a bulletin about a job with the City of Los Angeles, and that was that.
